The weather in October was gorgeous, so folks took advantage of it, starting with an Oktoberfest Party on the assisted living patio. Apartment folks picked pumpkins and went on a wagon ride at Schuster’s Farm, and there were a number of scenic drives to see the fall colors. Assisted living and memory care folks made apple crisp, enjoyed a fall festival and made lots of fall-themed crafts, and apartment tenants saw “Oklahoma” at The Fireside Theater in Fort Atkinson. Visits from St. James Catholic School, St. Ambrose Academy and Edgewood High School students were highlights of the month, as were the Halloween parties and the trick-or-treaters who stopped by.
