September was a busy month – but aren’t they all? Memory care folks celebrated the start of fall with a trip to Ski Hi Fruit Farm in Baraboo and yummy apple pie! The 10th-16th was National Assisted Living Week, so there were many special events planned. Family spent precious time together on Grandparents Day, picnics were organized for residents and staff, students from St. James Catholic School in Madison visited, and assisted living folks created a community painting. Everyone also had ice cream from the Vesperman Farms ice cream truck! Apartment tenants went to Havens Petting Farm in Blue Mounds and welcomed Edgewood students who helped with light housekeeping tasks and served root beer floats on the patio. The month drew to an end with a lovely picnic and pontoon boat rides with two other ElderSpan-managed residences at Merrimac Memorial Park. To view photos, please click on the web album link below.
