The calendars were full of special events to brighten up the grey days of winter. The apartment folks stayed busy with a potluck, an ice cream social and a lovely ladies’ luncheon with soup and salad from Olive Garden and Nothing Bundt Cakes for dessert! They also were fascinated by a presentation on Stonehenge by UW-Madison Anthropology Professor Nam Kim, and thoroughly enjoyed an outing to see the movie, “A Man Called Otto”. A big thank you hug to the family of Berniece, who brought lunch and dessert for the assisted living staff. This kind and generous gesture was in memory of their mom and as a thank you for her years with us. Resident Catherine celebrated her 100th birthday with an open house and a special Mass, and the month ended with rousing concerts by the VFW Volunteer Band Post 1318 and The Trippers Band!
