Calendars were busy all across the campus this month. Apartment tenants hosted their annual Pancake Breakfast which is always well attended, and they went to see “Grease” at the Fireside Theatre in Fort Atkinson. They also held a Candy Corn Social, which included dressing each other up as candy corn mummies! There were some beautiful fall days, so folks took a bus ride to Christy’s Landing on Lake Waubesa for a delicious lunch and then admired the fall colors at Lake Kegonsa State Park and the UW Arboretum. As cooler weather set in, there were fall art projects to do and snuggling time with Activity Assistant Taylor’s puppy, Poppy! A chili dinner also hit the spot on a chilly evening. A big thank you to the middle and high school students from St. Ambrose Academy. They helped with cleaning chores across the campus and then spent time with the folks decorating cookies and playing games. There were also lots of smiles when kiddos from Our Lady’s Good Helpers Preschool Co-Op at St. Bernard’s Chuch in Middleton visited and sang songs. The month ended with Halloween parties and some amazing costumes! To view photos, please click on the web album link below.
